windswept Weddings, Book Cover Title: Windswept Weddings
One of four stories: Move a Mountain

Review by: Kay Tira

One of a series of four Windswept Weddings stories, Move a Mountain by Lena Nelson Dooley, is about romance and wedding plans.

Christine Dailey and Christopher Davis become engaged, both destined to be "Chris Davis." Their romance and engagement seem perfect. Christine is a young woman skilled at scheduling and planning, and pays attention to detail. Christopher gets a big promotion to CEO of his father's business. Everything is lining up well, and the wedding date is approaching. Christine's plans become challenged as one surprise after another threatens to interrupt the schedule.

The story is a quick read, and holds a valuable lesson in trusting God through the storms. Even though this is just one of the included stories, this is recommended reading.

When I first got WINDSWEPT WEDDINGS, I wondered if a book with the heroes and heroines already together would hold my interest, since I’m a hopeless romantic, but it did. With its frazzled brides, consoling grooms and uncooperative weather, there’s plenty of conflict to drive the stories. The main characters must rely on their faith and each other to move past their doubts and concerns to make the best wedding day possible given the unusual circumstances they encounter. Toss is some humor to offset a snowstorm, tornado, hurricane, wildfire and frantic brides, and you have a well-rounded read that is sure to hold your interest and give a satisfying ending.
